Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 22cm (8.5-inch) round cake pan.

Grate carrots finely. Chop walnuts. Zest and juice the orange.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, orange zest, orange juice, and salt.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and ginger powder.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

Fold in the grated carrots and chopped walnuts.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Prepare the glaze: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually beat in powdered sugar and lemon juice until a smooth glaze forms.
