  • Unsalted butter, melted0.75 cup
  • Sugar1 cup
  • Water0.5 cup
  • Honey0.5 cup

Стъпки

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a bowl, mix pre-chopped walnuts with cinnamon.

  3. 3

Cut phyllo dough into roughly 2-inch squares.

  4. 4

Place one phyllo square on your work surface, brush with melted butter. Top with another phyllo square, brush with butter. Repeat for 3-4 layers.

  5. 5

Place a small spoonful of walnut mixture in the center of the layered phyllo stack.

  6. 6

Fold the phyllo edges up to enclose the filling, creating a small parcel or bundle. Brush the top with butter.

  7. 7

Place the baklava bites on the prepared baking sheet.

  8. 8

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.

  9. 9

While baklava bites are baking, prepare the syrup: Combine sugar, water, honey, and lemon juice in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.

  10. 10

Remove baklava bites from oven. Drizzle the warm syrup over the hot bites.

  11. 11

    Let cool slightly before serving.
