Classic, melt-in-your-mouth cheese pancakes made from farmer's cheese (tvorog), pan-fried until golden brown. A beloved breakfast or dessert staple.

- Farmer's cheese (tvorog)500g
- Egg1 large
- All-purpose flour3-4 tbsp
- Granulated sugar2 tbsp
- Vanilla extract1 tsp
- Saltpinch
- Vegetable oil or butter for frying2-3 tbsp

In a bowl, combine farmer's cheese, egg, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until smooth.

Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms. Do not overmix.

Shape the dough into small, thick patties, about 2 inches in diameter. You can lightly flour your hands to prevent sticking.

Heat oil or butter in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Carefully place the syrniki in the hot skillet and fry for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
