- Digestive biscuits, crushed200g

- Heavy cream400ml

- Dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped150g
- Ground cinnamon1/2 tsp
- Ground cardamom1/4 tsp
- Water50ml

Combine chopped dates, crushed biscuits, and melted butter. Press into the base of a serving dish.

Prepare the custard: In a saucepan, whisk together heavy cream, sugar, egg yolks, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in salt.

Pour the custard over the date and biscuit base.

For the spiced ganache, melt chopped dark chocolate with 50ml water over low heat or in microwave. Stir in cinnamon and cardamom until smooth.

Pour the spiced ganache over the custard layer.

Chill for at least 2 hours. Garnish with chopped pistachios or a cinnamon stick before serving.
