- Sauerkraut700g
- Onions2 medium
- Vegetable oil2 tbsp
- Paprika1 tbsp
- Caraway seeds1 tsp
- Bay leaf1
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Cut the pork belly into cubes. Chop the onions.

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the pork belly cubes on all sides.

Add the chopped onions to the pot and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Stir in the paprika and caraway seeds, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add the sauerkraut, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Add enough water to almost cover the ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for at least 2-3 hours, or until the pork is very tender. Add more water if it becomes too dry.

Remove the bay leaf before serving. Adjust seasoning if necessary.
