- Unsalted butter, cold and cubed1/2 cup (1 stick)
- Sharp cheddar cheese, grated1 cup
- Fresh chives, chopped2 tablespoons
- Milk2/3 cup

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.

Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Stir in the grated cheddar cheese and chopped chives.

Make a well in the center and pour in the milk. Stir with a fork until just combined. The dough will be slightly sticky.
