Ingredients

- Dried oregano1 tsp

Season chicken thighs generously with salt and pepper.

In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Sear chicken thighs until browned on both sides.

Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until softened, about 3-5 minutes.

Stir in chili powder, cumin, and oregano. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour in chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender.

Remove chicken from the skillet and shred it using two forks. Return shredded chicken to the skillet and toss with the sauce.

Warm corn tortillas according to package directions (e.g., on a dry skillet or in the oven).

Assemble tacos by filling warm tortillas with shredded chicken mixture. Garnish with chopped white onion and fresh cilantro. Serve immediately with lime wedges.
