Ingredients
- Salmon fillets4 (6 oz each)
- Unsalted butter4 tbsp
- Paprika2 tbsp
- Garlic powder1 tbsp
- Onion powder1 tbsp
- Dried oregano1 tsp
- Dried thyme1 tsp
- Cayenne pepper1/2 tsp
- Salt1 tsp
- Black pepper1 tsp
Steps

Combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Mix well.

Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Generously coat each fillet on all sides with the spice mixture.

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a large cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Carefully place two salmon fillets in the hot skillet. Sear for 3-4 minutes per side, until a dark crust forms and the salmon is cooked through. Add more butter as needed between batches.
