- Black pepperto taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)2 tbsp
Steps
- 1
Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- 2
While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 3
Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- 4
Pour heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- 5
Gradually whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6
Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Add the drained fettuccine to the sauce.
- 7
Toss everything together until the pasta and shrimp are well coated in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- 8
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley.
