Ingredients
- Fettuccine pasta12 oz
- Large shrimp, peeled and deveined1 lb
- Unsalted butter4 tbsp
- Heavy cream1 1/2 cups
- Parmesan cheese, grated1 cup
- Garlic, minced3 cloves
- Cajun seasoning2 tbsp
- Smoked paprika1 tsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Green onions, chopped (for garnish)2 tbsp
- Lemon wedge (for garnish)1

Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

In a bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium. Pour heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

Gradually whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Add the drained fettuccine to the sauce.

Toss everything together until the pasta and shrimp are well coated. Add reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
