Ingredients
- Penne pasta400g
- Store-bought basil pesto200g
- Cherry tomatoes, halved250g
- Parmesan cheese, grated50g
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Waterfor boiling pasta
Steps

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil for the pasta.

Cook the penne pasta according to package directions until al dente.

While the pasta cooks, halve the cherry tomatoes.

Reserve about 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water before draining.

Drain the pasta and return it to the pot. Add the store-bought pesto and halved cherry tomatoes.

Toss well to combine, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan.
