
Classic Italian-American Stuffed Shells

Jumbo pasta shells generously filled with a creamy ricotta and spinach mixture, baked in a rich marinara sauce, and topped with melted mozzarella cheese. A comforting and classic dish.

Ingredients
- Jumbo pasta shells12 oz
- Ricotta cheese15 oz
- Frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry10 oz
- Parmesan cheese, grated1/2 cup
- Egg1 large
- Garlic, minced2 cloves
- Salt1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper1/4 teaspoon
- Marinara sauce24 oz
- Mozzarella cheese, shredded1 cup

Cook jumbo pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.

In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, squeezed spinach, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the ricotta mixture. Arrange the stuffed shells in the baking dish over the sauce.

Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the stuffed shells.

Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden brown.
