Ingredients
- Broccoli florets4 cups, fresh or frozen
- Cheddar cheese2 cups, pre-shredded
- Vegetable broth4 cups
- Milk2 cups
- Cream cheese4 oz
- Garlic powder1 teaspoon
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

In a large pot, combine broccoli florets and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until broccoli is tender, about 10-15 minutes.

Carefully transfer about half of the soup to a blender (or use an immersion blender directly in the pot) and blend until smooth. Return to the pot if using a separate blender.

Stir in the milk, cream cheese, and garlic powder. Heat gently until cream cheese is melted and soup is heated through. Do not boil.

Gradually stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
