Ingredients
- Ripe beefsteak tomatoes4 large
- Fresh buffalo mozzarella16 oz
- Fresh basil leaves1 bunch
- Pesto sauce4 tbsp
- Extra virgin olive oil2 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
Steps

Slice tomatoes and mozzarella into thick rounds.

Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat.

Lightly brush tomato slices with olive oil and grill for 2-3 minutes per side until slightly softened and marked.

Place mozzarella slices on the grill pan for about 1 minute per side, just until slightly softened and warm.

Arrange grilled tomato and mozzarella slices on a serving platter.

Top each slice with a fresh basil leaf.
