  • Crushed tomatoes28 oz can
  • Beef broth or chicken broth4 cups
  • Water2 cups
  • Dried oregano1 tsp
  • Dried basil1 tsp

  • Lasagna noodles, broken into pieces8 oz
  • Ricotta cheese1/2 cup
  • Parmesan cheese, grated1/4 cup
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnishoptional

    In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the Italian sausage over medium-high heat. Drain off excess fat.

    Pour in the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, and water. Add oregano and basil. Season with salt and pepper.
