  • White bread8 slices, crusts removed
  • Egg white1
  • Cornstarch1 tbsp
  • Sriracha sauce1-2 tbsp
  • Sesame oil1 tsp
  • Salt1/4 tsp
  • White pepper1/4 tsp
  • Sesame seeds2 tbsp
  • Vegetable oilfor deep frying

Steps

    Finely mince the prawns. In a bowl, combine minced prawns with egg white, cornstarch, Sriracha sauce, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper. Mix well until a paste forms.

    Spread the spicy prawn mixture evenly onto one side of each bread slice.

    Press sesame seeds onto the prawn mixture.

    Cut each bread slice into triangles.

    Heat vegetable oil in a wok or deep pan to 170°C (340°F).

    Carefully fry the prawn toast, sesame seed side down first, for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Flip and fry the other side for another 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot, with extra Sriracha if desired.
