- Panko breadcrumbs2 cups
- Vegetable oilFor deep frying
- Tonkatsu sauce1/2 cup
- Japanese mayonnaise (like Kewpie)1/4 cup
- Shokupan (Japanese milk bread)8 slices

In a small bowl, mix the tonkatsu sauce and Japanese mayonnaise until well combined.

Trim the crusts off the shokupan slices.

Spread a generous layer of the tonkatsu sauce mixture on one side of each slice of bread.

Place a cooked Tonkatsu cutlet on four of the bread slices (sauce-side up).

Top each cutlet with another slice of bread, sauce-side down.
