Ingredients
- Shortbread biscuits200g
- Butter100g
- Sweetened condensed milk200g can
- Golden syrup50g
- Milk chocolate150g
- Saltpinch

Line a small rectangular tin (approx. 15x20cm) with parchment paper.

Arrange a single layer of shortbread biscuits to cover the base of the tin. Break biscuits if necessary to fill gaps.

For the caramel: Melt 100g butter, 200g sweetened condensed milk, and 50g golden syrup in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Bring to a gentle boil and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly, until thickened.

Pour the caramel over the biscuit base and spread evenly. Let it cool and firm up slightly.

Melt 150g milk chocolate (or dark chocolate) in a bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Pour over the caramel layer and spread smoothly.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until set. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
