Ingredients

Prepare the churro dough as per the Classic Spanish Churros recipe (Steps 1-3).

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 375°F (190°C).

Pipe strips of dough into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side. Do NOT cut the churros to length yet.

Remove churros with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

While still warm, carefully use a thin skewer or knife to create a hollow channel through the center of each churro, being careful not to break them.

Fill a piping bag with dulce de leche. Insert the tip into one end of each churro and gently fill the hollow center.
