- Almonds, slivered50g

Grease and flour a kuglof mold.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, lukewarm milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.

Gently fold in the candied fruits and slivered almonds.

Pour the batter into the prepared kuglof mold.

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).

Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the kuglof cool in the mold for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
