- Salt1 teaspoon
- Sour cream150g
- Bacon (streaky)150g
- Dill (for garnish, optional)1 tablespoon, chopped

Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon bits and set aside, leaving about 1-2 tablespoons of rendered fat in the skillet.

In a saucepan, bring water and salt to a boil.

Whisk in the cornmeal gradually. Cook over low heat, stirring, for about 15-20 minutes until thick.

Remove from heat. Stir in the sour cream and optionally, a tablespoon of the reserved bacon fat, until creamy.
