- Rigatoni or similar hollow pasta400g
- Ground beef500g
- Onion1 large
- Garlic3 cloves
- Canned diced tomatoes800g
- Tomato paste2 tbsp
- Olive oil2 tbsp
- Beef broth100ml
- Dried oregano1 tsp
- Fresh parsleyfor garnish
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Chop the onion and mince the garlic.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain excess fat.

Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.

Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, beef broth, and dried oregano. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and let the sauce simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow flavors to meld.

Meanwhile, cook the rigatoni according to package directions in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain well.

Add the drained pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
