Cut the salmon into thin strips. Peel, pit, and slice the avocado into thin strips.
- 3
Place a nori sheet shiny-side down on a bamboo rolling mat. Spread a thin, even layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving about a 1-inch border at the top.
- 4
Arrange strips of salmon and avocado horizontally across the rice near the bottom edge.
- 5
Using the bamboo mat, carefully roll the nori tightly from the bottom up, pressing gently to form a cylinder.
- 6
Moisten the top border of the nori with a little water to seal the roll.
- 7
Using a sharp, wet knife, slice the roll into 6-8 pieces.
- 8
Serve immediately with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger.
