- Garlic3 cloves
- Dried plums (prunes)150g
- Apple1
- Fresh sage2 sprigs

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Rinse and pat dry the turkey. Season inside and out with salt and pepper.

Chop 1 onion and mince garlic. Halve the apple and remove the core. Chop the dried plums.

Stuff the turkey cavity with half the chopped onion, minced garlic, apple halves, and half the dried plums.

Rub the turkey skin with softened butter. Place the turkey in a roasting pan.

Scatter the remaining chopped onion, garlic, and dried plums around the turkey.

Roast the turkey for approximately 3-3.5 hours, basting every 30-45 minutes. Add a little water to the pan if it becomes dry.

About 30 minutes before the turkey is done, prepare the mlinci. Break mlinci into a bowl.

Pour about 2 cups of hot turkey drippings (including some plums and onions) over the mlinci. Stir well. Add hot water if needed.

Transfer the mlinci to the roasting pan around the turkey or a separate baking dish. Bake for the last 20-30 minutes until tender.

Let the turkey rest for 15-20 minutes before carving. Serve with the mlinci and pan juices.
