  • Bird's Eye Chilies (or chili paste)1-2 tbsp
  • Ground Turmeric1 tsp
  • Ground Galangal1 tsp
  • Lemongrass (paste or finely chopped)1 tbsp
  • Shallots (sliced)3
  • Kaffir Lime Leaves3
  • Assam Gelugur (or tamarind paste)1 tsp
  • Saltto taste
  • Wateras needed
  • Vegetable Oil1 tbsp

    In a pot, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Sauté sliced shallots until softened.

    Add bird's eye chilies (or chili paste), ground turmeric, ground galangal, and lemongrass paste. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

    Add the smoked beef and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.

    Pour in the coconut milk, kaffir lime leaves, and assam gelugur (or tamarind paste). Bring to a simmer.
