Bahan
- Ikan Tongkol (Mackerel Tuna)500g
- Pre-made Sambal Oelek or Chili Paste3-4 tbsp
- Garlic2 cloves, minced
- Shallots2, thinly sliced
- Lime Juice1 tbsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Saltto taste
- Cooking Oilfor frying
- Water2-3 tbsp

Cut the ikan tongkol into bite-sized pieces. Pan-fry or bake until cooked through and slightly firm. Set aside.

Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan. Sauté minced garlic and sliced shallots until fragrant.

Add the pre-made sambal oelek/chili paste and stir well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add water, sugar, and salt. Stir and bring to a simmer.

Add the cooked ikan tongkol to the sauce. Toss gently to coat. Cook for another 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the fish.

Stir in lime juice just before serving. Adjust seasoning.
