- fresh red chilies150g
- garlic cloves30g
- shallots30g
- dark soy sauce100ml
- sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)50ml
- sugar1 tbsp
- saltto taste
- vegetable oil50ml

Finely chop or blend fresh chilies, garlic, and shallots. For a smoother texture, use a blender.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the chili mixture until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.

Add dark soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
