- Cornstarch1/4 cup
- Turmeric powder1 teaspoon
- Chili powder1/2 teaspoon
- Salt1 teaspoon
- Black pepper1/2 teaspoon
- Egg1, beaten
- Water1/4 cup, or as needed
- Vegetable oilfor deep frying
