Bahan
- Beef (sirloin or tenderloin, thinly sliced)500 g
- Coconut milk (canned)400 ml
- Rendang spice paste (store-bought)4 tbsp
- Lemongrass stalk, bruised1
- Kaffir lime leaves3
- Saltto taste
- Sugar1 tsp
- Vegetable oil2 tbsp

Slice beef thinly against the grain.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the rendang spice paste and sauté until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the thinly sliced beef and stir-fry until browned.

Pour in the coconut milk, add the bruised lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves. Bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 45-60 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened to a rich consistency.

Season with salt and sugar to taste. Remove lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves before serving.
