- Coconut milk200ml
- Lime juice2 tbsp
- Fish sauce1 tbsp
- Water700ml
- Saltto taste
- Thai basil leavesfor garnish

Bruise lemongrass and slice galangal. Lightly crush Thai chilies.

In a pot, bring water to a simmer. Add lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, and Tom Yam paste. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Pour in coconut milk and bring to a gentle simmer (do not boil rapidly).
