- Asam Laksa Paste (store-bought)100g
- Canned Sardines in Tomato Sauce2 cans (approx. 150g each)
- Water or Fish Stock1.2 liters
- Tamarind Paste2 tbsp
- Thick Rice Noodles (Laksa Noodles)400g
- Pineapple1/4
- Cucumber1
- Red Onion1/2
- Mint Leaves1 bunch
- Saltto taste

Drain the canned sardines, reserving some sauce if desired. Flake the fish.

In a pot, combine asam laksa paste, water/stock, and tamarind paste. Bring to a boil.

Add flaked sardines and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Season with salt.

Blanch the thick rice noodles.

Prepare garnishes: julienne pineapple, cucumber, and red onion. Chop mint.
