Bahan
- Basmati rice400g
- Chicken thighs, cut into pieces500g
- Vegetable oil50ml
- Onions, sliced1 large
- Garlic and ginger paste2 tbsp
- Pre-made Nasi Briyani spice paste4 tbsp
- Tomatoes, chopped100g
- Water or chicken broth600ml
- Saltto taste
- Saffron threads, soaked in warm milk1/2 tsp
- Fried shallots for garnish1/4 cup

Rinse basmati rice until water runs clear. Soak for 15 minutes, then drain.

In a pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Sauté sliced onions until softened.

Add garlic and ginger paste, sauté until fragrant.

Add chicken pieces and brown them.

Stir in the pre-made briyani spice paste and chopped tomatoes. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add the drained rice, water/broth, and salt. Stir well.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover tightly, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.

Gently fluff the rice. Drizzle saffron milk over the top. Cover and let steam for 5 minutes.
