Prepare the rich filling: In a saucepan, combine fresh grated coconut, finely chopped Gula Melaka, pandan leaves (tied), and 1/4 cup water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the Gula Melaka melts completely and the mixture becomes a thick, glossy, moist filling. Remove pandan leaves. Let cool.
