- Taro root150 g
- Sweet potato (orange)150 g
- Tapioca pearls (small, dried)100 g
- Pandan leaves2-3 leaves
- Fresh durian flesh150 g

Prepare the ingredients: Peel and cube taro and sweet potato. Soak dried tapioca pearls if necessary. Tie pandan leaves into a knot. Remove seeds from durian flesh and mash slightly.

Make the syrup base: In a pot, combine water, gula melaka, and salt. Simmer until sugar dissolves. Add pandan leaves and infuse for 5-10 minutes.

Cook root vegetables: Add taro and sweet potato to the syrup. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

Add tapioca pearls: Add soaked tapioca pearls and cook until translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

Incorporate coconut milk and durian: Pour in coconut milk and add the mashed durian flesh. Stir gently. Heat through without boiling, about 3-5 minutes, allowing the durian flavor to meld.
