- Glutinous rice flour400g
- Coconut milk (thick)900ml
- Palm sugar (gula melaka)450g
- Pandan extract or juice50ml
- Water150ml
- Salt1 tsp

Prepare palm sugar syrup by dissolving palm sugar in water. Strain and set aside.

In a heavy-bottomed pot, combine glutinous rice flour, coconut milk, and pandan extract/juice. Mix until smooth.

Add the strained palm sugar syrup and salt. Stir thoroughly.

Cook over low to medium heat, stirring continuously for about 2 to 2.5 hours, until the mixture thickens and pulls away from the pot.

The dodol should have a glossy, sticky consistency.

Pour the mixture onto a greased banana leaf or parchment paper. Allow to cool completely.

Cut into desired shapes, such as diamonds or squares.
