- Garlic, minced4 cloves
- Green chilies, slit2
- Red chilies, sliced2
- Lemongrass, bruised1 stalk
- Coconut milk200ml
- Chicken stock1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder1 tsp
- Chili powder1 tsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Vegetable oil2 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Curry leaves, for garnisha sprig

Season chicken drumettes with salt and black pepper.

Heat vegetable oil in a pot over medium heat. Add grated ginger, minced garlic, green chilies, red chilies, and bruised lemongrass. Sauté until fragrant.

Add turmeric powder and chili powder. Stir for 30 seconds.

Add the chicken drumettes and stir-fry until lightly browned.

Pour in chicken stock and coconut milk. Add sugar. Bring to a simmer.

Cover and cook on low heat for 25-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
