- Store-bought Malaysian spice paste (e.g., rendang or curry paste)4 tbsp
- Coconut milk200 ml
- Tamarind paste1 tbsp
- Sugar1 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp

In a bowl, mix the store-bought spice paste, coconut milk, tamarind paste, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Add chicken pieces and coat well. Marinate for at least 15 minutes.
