- Glutinous rice2 cups
- Roasted peanuts1/2 cup
- WaterAs needed
- Salt1/2 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil1 tablespoon
- Toasted sesame seeds1 tablespoon

Rinse the glutinous rice thoroughly until the water runs clear. Soak the rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Drain the soaked rice well. In a steamer, place the rice in a cheesecloth or a fine-mesh steamer basket. Steam over high heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is tender and cooked through.

While the rice is steaming, lightly toast the peanuts in a dry pan until fragrant, if not already roasted. If using raw peanuts, roast them in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.

In a bowl, combine the cooked sticky rice with the roasted peanuts, salt, and vegetable oil. Mix gently to combine and coat the rice evenly.

Steam the mixture again for another 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
