Nguyên liệu
- Glutinous rice flour200g
- Sugar50g
- Water150ml
- Cream cheese100g
- Condensed milk30ml
- Cornstarch20g
- Toasted sesame seeds2 tbsp
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
Các bước
- 1
Prepare the cheese filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese and condensed milk until smooth. Stir in cornstarch until well combined. Set aside.
- 2
Make the mochi dough: In a heatproof bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and sugar. Gradually add water while stirring until a smooth batter forms. Add vegetable oil and mix well.
- 3
Steam the mochi batter: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and steam over medium-high heat for about 15-20 minutes, or until the dough is translucent and cooked through. Stir halfway through steaming.
- 4
Knead the dough: Once steamed, carefully transfer the hot dough to a clean surface lightly dusted with glutinous rice flour. Knead until smooth and elastic. Be cautious as the dough is hot.
- 5
Assemble the bánh dép: Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Flatten each portion into a disc. Place a spoonful of the cheese filling in the center of each disc. Carefully wrap the dough around the filling, sealing it completely to form a ball. Flatten slightly into a disc shape.
- 6
Optional steaming: For a softer texture, you can lightly steam the assembled bánh dép for another 5 minutes. Alternatively, serve immediately.
- 7
Serve: Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and serve warm.
