- Shrimp1 lb, peeled and deveined
- Passion fruit pulp1/2 cup
- Garlic3 cloves, minced
- Shallots1, finely chopped
- Fish sauce2 tbsp
- Sugar1 tbsp
- Lime juice1 tbsp
- Red chili1, thinly sliced (optional)
- Cilantro1/4 cup, chopped, for garnish
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Water2 tbsp

Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and chopped shallots. Sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add passion fruit pulp, fish sauce, sugar, lime juice, and water to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

Cook the sauce for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with the passion fruit sauce.

Stir in sliced red chili if using.
