Стъпки

  1. 1

Prepare the dough: Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in milk and vanilla extract. Gradually add flour and baking powder, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead lightly until smooth. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

Prepare the filling: Mix finely chopped walnuts with 50g of the sugar. If the mixture seems too dry, add a tablespoon of water or milk.

  3. 3

Assemble the peaches: Divide the dough into small portions. Flatten each portion into a disc, place a spoonful of walnut filling in the center, and carefully enclose the filling, shaping the dough into a ball. Gently shape each ball to resemble a peach, ensuring the filling is completely sealed.

  4. 4

Bake: Arrange the shaped dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If using, press a whole clove into the top of each 'peach' to create a stem impression. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 20-25 minutes, or until lightly golden brown.

  5. 5

Cool and dust: Let the baked 'peaches' cool completely on a wire rack. Once cooled, generously dust them with powdered sugar.
