- Breadcrumbs50g
- Fresh parsley, chopped2 tbsp
- Mint, dried1 tsp
- Cumin, ground1 tsp

- Olive oil2 tbsp
- Canned crushed tomatoes400g
- Tomato paste1 tbsp
- Water100ml
- Sugar1 tsp

In a large bowl, combine ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, dried mint, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well until thoroughly combined.

Form the mixture into oval-shaped meatballs (kyufte), about 5-6 cm long.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Brown the kyufte on all sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, water, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Return the browned kyufte to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until the kyufte are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
