A traditional and creamy hummus made with tahini, chickpeas, lemon juice, and garlic. Perfect as a dip or spread.

- Chickpeas (canned or cooked)2 cans (15 oz each)
- Tahini1/2 cup
- Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)1/4 cup
- Garlic cloves2
- Ice water1/4 cup
- Olive oil2 tbsp (plus more for serving)
- Salt1 tsp
- Cumin (ground)1/2 tsp
- Paprika (for garnish)pinch
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)1 tbsp

Drain and rinse the chickpeas, reserving some liquid if desired for a smoother consistency.

In a food processor, combine tahini and lemon juice. Process for 1 minute until smooth and creamy.

Add the garlic cloves and salt. Process for another minute until the garlic is finely minced.

Add the chickpeas and cumin to the food processor. Process until very smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. This may take 2-3 minutes.

While the processor is running, slowly drizzle in the ice water and olive oil until the hummus reaches your desired creamy consistency.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Transfer hummus to a serving bowl. Create a swirl on top with a spoon, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika and fresh parsley.
