  • Lamb mince or pre-cut stewing lamb500g
  • Onions1 large
  • Carrots2 medium
  • Potatoes1 medium
  • Canned chopped tomatoes200g
  • Garlic2 cloves
  • Lamb broth or water1.5 liters
  • Vegetable oil2 tbsp
  • Paprika (sweet)1 tsp
  • Dried mint0.5 tsp
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepperto taste
  • Fresh mint or parsleyfor garnish

    Heat oil in a pot. Sauté chopped onion until softened.

    Add lamb mince (or pre-cut lamb) and brown it. If using mince, break it up with a spoon.

    Add minced garlic, chopped carrots, and diced potatoes. Cook for 5 minutes.

    Stir in canned tomatoes, paprika, and dried mint.

    Pour in the lamb broth or water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 45-60 minutes, or until vegetables are tender and lamb is cooked through.

    Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

    Serve hot, garnished with fresh mint or parsley.
