Cut the kashkaval cheese into bite-sized cubes (approx. 2cm).

Whisk the egg with salt and pepper in a bowl.

Place panko breadcrumbs in another shallow dish.

Dip each cheese cube into the whisked egg, then roll in panko breadcrumbs, coating well.

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
