- Chicken thighs, bone-in600g
- Fresh or frozen peas300g
- Onion1 large
- Garlic3 cloves
- Smoked paprika1.5 tbsp
- Chicken broth600ml
- Tomato paste1 tbsp
- Olive oil2 tbsp
- Fresh parsley1/4 cup, chopped
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Cut chicken thighs into large pieces, removing bones if desired.

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.

Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the chicken pieces on all sides. Remove chicken and set aside.

Add the chopped onion to the pot and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the smoked paprika and tomato paste. Cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Return the chicken to the pot. Pour in the chicken broth. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat, cover, and cook for 30 minutes.

Add the peas. Continue to simmer, uncovered, for another 15-20 minutes, or until peas are tender and the sauce has thickened.
