
Classic Chicken Noodle Soup

Ingredients
- Whole chicken1 kg
- Water3 liters
- Carrots2 medium
- Celery stalks2
- Onion1 medium
- Bay leaf2
- Egg noodles150 g
- Fresh dillsmall bunch
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Place the whole chicken in a large pot (Кастрюля). Cover with 3 liters of water. Add half of the chopped onion and one bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour, skimming off any foam.

Remove the chicken from the pot. Strain the broth through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean pot. Discard the boiled onion and bay leaf. Let the chicken cool slightly, then shred the meat and discard bones and skin.

While the chicken cools, chop the remaining carrots, celery, and onion into bite-sized pieces.

Add the chopped vegetables to the strained broth. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.

Add the shredded chicken and egg noodles to the pot. Cook for another 5-7 minutes, or until noodles are al dente.

Season the soup with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in fresh chopped dill just before serving.
