Ingredients

  • Frozen chopped spinach500 g
  • Paneer200 g
  • Onion1 small
  • Garlic paste1 tsp
  • Ginger paste1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder1/4 tsp
  • Saltto taste
  • Water1/4 cup
  • Plain yogurt2 tbsp (for garnish)

Steps

    Thaw and squeeze excess water from frozen spinach. If using fresh, blanch and puree.

    Cut paneer into cubes.

    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

    Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.

    Add ginger and garlic paste. Sauté for 30 seconds.

    Add the spinach, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt. Stir well.

    Add water and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes.

    Add paneer cubes. Cook for another 5 minutes until paneer is heated through.

    Serve hot, garnished with a dollop of yogurt.
