Ingredients
- Medjool dates, pitted2 cups
- Walnuts, toasted and chopped1/2 cup
- Dark chocolate (70% cocoa)180g, chopped
- Cardamom powder1/2 teaspoon
- Rosewater1 teaspoon
- Orange zest1/2 teaspoon
- Salt1/4 teaspoon
- Edible rose petals, for garnish (optional)as needed

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a food processor, process the pitted Medjool dates until a sticky paste forms.

Add the toasted chopped walnuts, cardamom powder, rosewater, orange zest, and salt. Pulse until combined.

Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave.

Gently fold the melted chocolate into the date and nut mixture until evenly distributed.

Spoon small portions of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, or press into a small lined pan and cut into desired shapes.

If desired, garnish with edible rose petals before chilling.

Refrigerate for at least 40 minutes, or until firm.
