Ingredients

  • Shrimp500g
  • Tamarind pulp75g
  • Radish1 medium
  • Okra10-12 pieces
  • Long beans1/2 bunch
  • Tomatoes2 medium
  • Onion1 medium
  • Fish sauce2 tbsp
  • Siling haba (long green chili)1-2
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepperto taste
  • Water1.5 liters

Steps

    Boil water with sliced tomatoes and onion. Add tamarind pulp and simmer until soft. Mash and strain to get tamarind juice.

    Return tamarind juice to the pot. Add sliced radish and bring to a boil.

    Add long beans and okra. Cook for 5 minutes.

    Add shrimp and siling haba. Cook until shrimp turn pink and opaque.

    Season with fish sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Adjust sourness.

    Serve immediately.
